The joy of finishing reading a book

The joy of finishing reading a book, the sense of achievement, of completion.

The warm feeling gently arose after the last page was turned, leading to the ceasing of imagination of the story. While reading, the imagination was alive, moving and swift with each turning page, now ceased as the story ended.

The farewell feeling to the characters I have acquainted and journeyed through the book, they now feel like people I know, who I’m waving goodbye to now.

For me, these joy & feelings are unique to reading, and these are my rewards for me, the reader :)

Now, what’s the next story? And, who will I be meeting? :)

I was giving up. I would have given up - if a voice hadn’t made itself heard in my heart. The voice said “I will not die. I refuse it. I will make it through this nightmare. I will beat the odds, as great as they are. I have survived so far, miraculously. Now I will turn miracle into routine. The amazing will be seen everyday. I will put in all the hard work necessary. Yes, so long as God is with me, I will not die. Amen.
